The role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will enable the Production Engineers to provide continuous production on site by maintaining the machinery in the work shop.
Day to day, you’ll:
Manage breakdowns and planned servicing, installation and commissioning of plant and equipment
Carry out general day to day maintenance activities
Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and fluid drawings
React to plant facilities breakdowns (both mechanical and electrical), locating the fault, analysing the issue, and completing the fix in a timely manner to keep operation downtime to a minimum
Be required to keep accurate records such as work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores, etc
This role is full time working thirty-six hours per week on a shift pattern and will be based onsite at Ashton House.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Engineer:
Experience of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in a multi skilled maintenance role in electrical, mechanical and facilities maintenance
Being proactive in risk management strategies to ensure business continuity
Excellent interpersonal and problem skills
Experience in working with CNC and manual machinery
Qualifications for the Maintenance Engineer:
BTEC level 3 or equivalent in engineering
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
