The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Operative you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will have the chance to conduct lifting operations across the naval site.
Day to day, you’ll provide slinging and lifting operations to support the HMNB site as directed by line management.
- Provide lifting activity support to the fleet engineering teams
- Provide lifting activity support to enable identification and rectification of defects
- Make suggestions on improving systems and processes
- Work within all H&S legislation and guidelines
This role is full time on site at HMNB Clyde
Experience Required of the Multi-Skilled Operative
- Background in Slinging, Lifting, Scaffolding etc
- Manual Handling experience
- Engineering knowledge beneficial
- Having worked around ships / vessels beneficial
Qualifications for the Multi-Skilled Operative
- SVQ / NVQ level 2 qualified in relevant subject
- Working at Height
- Confined Spaces
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
