The role
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure the effective management of production, including the supervision of manpower and allocation of work is met in an efficient and cost-effective way.
Day to day, you’ll you will be managing the shop floor of staff to ensure key performance indicators (KPI’s) are met, managing up to twelve direct reports, completing development and training for direct reports.
- Management and supervision of health, safety and environment (HS&E) within their defined areas of responsibility
- Delivery of weekly Toolbox Talks to department employees
- The accurate recording of accidents and near misses
- Identification of hazards and risk assessment development/review
- Effective supervision of employees to ensure that the Health and Safety Legislative and Company Health standards are maintained at all times
This is a full time role based on site in Walsall with the core hours: Monday- Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm with plenty of opportunities for overtime.
Essential experience of the Production Supervisor
- Working in a vehicle conversion environment
- Experience of leading groups of people
- Management within a fast paced automotive or production environment
Qualifications for the Production Supervisor
- NVQ level 2 or extensive experience in automotive / engineering
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
