The role
As a Lead Trainer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will lead the people in the Weapons Department to get the best out of them and support them to deliver training to the standards in accordance EMTC2 and Authority local instructions.
Day to day, you’ll Ensure compliance with Babcock Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adhering to relevant responsibilities and accountabilities. Guaranteeing all employees under your jurisdiction comply with Babcock SOPs
Collate reports, performance data and other material as required to support the TOM.
Responsible for Line Management (LM) support and guidance to staff to maximise individual development relevant to their business role.
Manage staff performance using available tools by the means of appraisals, disciplinary procedures and implementation of developmental measures to address any performance issues
Ensure open lines of communication are maintained with staff, TOM and SL.
Manage your HR responsibilities for your staff ensuring that Timesheets, Absence (planned and unplanned), Sickness, Return to Work, Recruitment, Probation and Discipline procedures are followed.
Ensure training, in accordance with the approved Course Training Package (CTP), is delivered to trainees as scheduled by Training Planning.
Review course content to ensure it is current and evolves to support advances in techniques and technologies the using most appropriate teaching aids. Notify any identified shortcomings to Course Design and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) input to assist in the preparation of relevant training material.
This role is full time and will be based at out MOD Lyneham site.
Essential experience of the Lead Trainer:
Demonstration of strong performance at managerial level.
Sound knowledge of HSE and Quality procedures
Sound understanding of commercial, contractual and financial matters
Qualifications for the Lead Trainer
C&G level 3 or above
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
