The role
As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We’re looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader to make a real impact in the role of Maintenance Manager on our Skynet Programme which is managed within the supportability discipline in Mission Systems, during a busy period of transition.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Conduct programmed maintenance of terminals so that equipment / platforms remain safe, retains its optimal reliability / availability and delivery to users is in accordance with agreed delivery profiles.
- Ensure all maintenance and support work undertaken is performed to planned cost, timescale and to the requisite quality.
- Ensure all maintenance and support work undertaken is performed in a safe and efficient manner using agreed processes, risk assessments and work instructions.
- Manage all workshop facilities ensuring the day to day safe and efficient running of all facilities and the quality of all work produced.
- Conduct a program of continuous on the job training covering platform, workshop, technical, and health and safety issues.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and will be based in Corsham with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Manager:
- Excellent understanding of maintenance management solutions and have experience of 1st to 4th line support activities
- Leadership and management experience of multi-disciplined teams
- Support solution development
- Change management and continuous improvement
Qualifications for the Maintenance Manager:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
