The role
As a Senior Plant Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for a range of tasks within the team, with the overall aim to maintain the compliance and safety of all assets and contribute to investment decisions and future asset management strategies.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for asset registration, disposal, concessions, deviations and supporting the maintenance and project functions.
- Responsible for supporting tasks for compliance including survey sentencing.
- Carry out onsite investigation tasks for the team.
- Engage with a wide range of industrial and non-industrial stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Maintain the compliance and safety of all assets and contribute to investment decisions and future asset management strategies.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week, based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Senior Plant Engineer
- Understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to post and project requirements.
- Awareness of applicable statutory legislation for non-nuclear assets.
- Working knowledge of Maximo or other CAFM systems.
Qualifications for the Senior Plant Engineer
- HND (or equivalent experience) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
