The role
As a Project Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working within our Infrastructure Development Project Management office, every day will be different. You will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders across our HMNB Clyde Business Area on projects that have a wide ranging schedules and budgets.
Day to day, you’ll co-ordinate, evaluate, prioritise and report on our Infrastructure Development Portfolio. You will assist our Project Managers and Project Engineers to deliver on time, on cost, and to the required quality.
- Establish, maintain and control the Project Plans with the input of key project stakeholders
- Manage the variances of risk and change control on the overall baseline.
- Be responsible for managing multiple projects budgets including raising the requirement for further funding from out customers.
- You will analyse and report on the Infrastructure Development programme.
- Lise with external and internal stakeholders at all levels, attending meetings as required and always offering the highest level of engagement and communication.
This role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 8am until 4.30pm and 8am until 1pm on Fridays. This role will be based at HMNB Clyde with hybrid working from home arrangements initially 1 day per week from home moving to 2-3 once fully competent in role.
Essential experience of the Project Planner:
- Proven experience of working with Primavera P6 would be advantageous however, experience of other planning tools will be considered.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience within the construction industry would be ideal however, other highly regulated industries will be considered.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
