The role
As a Principal Safety Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be able to have an impact on the UK’s future submarines, ensuring they are safe to operate and have safe facilities to be maintained in.
Day to day you’ll be responsible for providing specialist knowledge and support relating to submarine safety and compliance with regulations inputting experience from waterfront in order to ensure facilities and safety cases are suitable for use.

This role is full time working 36 hours and will be based from either our Devonport Royal Dockyard, Babcock Technology Centre, Barrow-in-Furness or Leicester site with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this may include obtaining SC, NNPPI or Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearances).
