The role
As a SAP Integration Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a key role in the SAP organisation and is responsible for the design, support, analysis, configuration and continuous improvement of the SAP Integration services and solutions to meet the business needs of Babcock across divisional back-office processes.
Day to day, you’ll be working closely with our customers to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality, the Integration Developer adds value to the SAP and IT organisation through their knowledge of the PO, PI, Integration Suite BTP, BOOMI and ABAP solutions, code, developments and services including their knowledge of SAP modules, systems and third party solutions. Other responsibilities include:
- Assisting with specific system design and development activities relating to system integration using SAP technology including PI and PO, Integration Suite BTP and BOOMI
- Assisting with delivery of the System Integration service and configuration working with the Senior Integration Consultant to ensure delivery of integration solutions
- Developing personal and technical skills to ensure constant delivery of high quality services for System Integration within SAP and systems outside of SAP
- Working towards being a subject matter expert in SAP Integration and data flow technologies providing guidance across the stakeholder community, working within the applications team to ensure all integrations are fit for purpose and deliver business value.
- Engage with both agreed suppliers and agreed business users using the agreed processes
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and the successful candidate can work compliantly from the nearest Babcock site to your contractual location.
Essential experience of the SAP Integration Developer:
- Experience of integration development using SAP PI, PO and Integration Suite BTP
- Experience of SuccessFactors integration via BOOMI and Integration Suite BTP
- Experience with developing solutions for ABAP and Java
- Experience with creating or use of XML schemas for use in performing data mapping
- Knowledge and understanding of SAP core modules: Enterprise Core Component ECC, SAP, ERP implementation and interface types IDOC, RFC calls and ALE
Qualifications for the SAP Integration Developer:
