The role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The engineer is required to support the team in providing their Design and Technical Authority responsibilities to the business for Defuel facilities.
Day to day, you’ll provide professional and flexible technical support to the ongoing operations and maintenance of DRDL extant electrical systems and equipment.
- Attendance at Authorisation Group meetings.
- Periodic reviews of maintenance regimes and activities.
- Specifying replacement equipment/components and supporting the production of configuration documentation for permanent modifications.
- Maintaining configuration of technical drawings and documentation.
- Reviewing concession applications.
- Responding to formal Technical Queries.
This role is full time position working a 36 hour week and will be based at Our Plymouth with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Electrical Design Engineer:
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Proficient understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671.
- Ability to produce electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Technical experience of electrical building services systems
- Design engineering experience.
Qualifications for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer:
- HNC/HND with equivalent experience.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
