The role
As the Stores Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for Babcock overseas in a critical role supporting our site operations.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage the Technical Stores, maintaining stock levels, taking delivery of goods coming in and ensuring all items are accounted for and issued to the relevant customers. You will maintain accurate records of all goods in/out of stores ensuring Customer databases are kept up to date.
Additional responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate asset management is carried out with regular verification of assets in line with National Audit Office guidelines.
- Portable Appliance Test all electrical items leaving stores and carry out other PAT duties as required across the sites.
- Manage customer holdings of cryptographic equipment in line with customer and IS4 guidelines.
- Carry out the Site legionella & asbestos management plans and undertake required Facilities Management (FM) tasks in support of the increasing FM service.
- Provide Site Support to the local team and customer staff, procurement of goods and other relevant administrative duties such as arranging staff training, maintaining deployment schedules and upkeep of the training matrix.
This role is full-time, 37 weekly hours and will be based oversea in the Middle East. You will receive relocation support for you and your family including schooling, if applicable. Essential experience of the Stores Supervisor
- Good IT literacy with strong experience using MS Office and database applications.
- Previous familiarity working in a secure / defence stores environment.
- Experience in Asset Management and the use of associated tools / software.
Qualifications for the Stores Supervisor
- City & Guilds 2377 – PAT testing (or the aptitude to gain this qualification).
Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. You must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements by holding Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearance.
