The role
As a Continuous Improvement Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be working as a Continuous Improvement Project Manager in identifying how through learning technologies, existing and future training delivery can be modernised and overall learning experience improved, creating greater realism and effective training effect for the entire business unit.
Day to day, you will be responsible for identifying, confirming, managing (including leading where required) and co-ordinating a portfolio of continuous improvement (CI) projects across a contracted training, maintenance, and support service contract.
Responsible for ensuring CI ideas, projects and change activities are recorded, managed and deliver their intended outcomes. This will involve the production of Business Cases and subsequent Project Initiation Documentation and associated project management processes.
Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities thereby minimising any impact to key delivery milestones.
Work alongside the customer and operational delivery teams to lead and drive organisational change projects embedding a culture of productivity, continuous improvement, performance, and innovation throughout CMC.
Work in collaboration with operational teams to elicit and develop ideas into CI initiatives and projects as directed by the Programme Board, define benefits, develop measurable outcomes, and ultimately deliver.
Demonstrate to the customer and wider Babcock through baseline measurement and benefit mapping the impact of performance and continuous improvement activities conducted at CMC Bovington.
Devising and delivering a stakeholder engagement strategy and drafting supporting communications plans which facilitates the embedding of any changes.
This role is full time, based in Bovington working 37 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Continuous Improvement Project Manager:
Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering change initiatives and projects.
Experience of managing complex groups of stakeholders.
Demonstrable experience of critical thinking to deliver outstanding results.
Demonstrable experience of Project reporting and Project accountability.
Evidence of delivering/designing/supporting CPD in the teaching or training sector.
Demonstrable evidence of continuous improvement techniques such as Lean production or 6 Sigma methodology.
Qualifications for the Continuous Improvement Project Manager:
Member of association for Project Management or equivalent professional body or demonstrable experience in project lifecycles
Degree qualified or equivalent management experience.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
