The role
As a Mechanical Vehicle Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be undertaking the mechanical service, maintenance and repair of all vehicle types and equipment.
Day to day, you will be fault finding on vehicle electrical systems and carrying out rectification work. You will also be involved in the removal and fitting of interior and exterior car parts and complete minor mechanical tasks.
- Fitting and rectification of mechanical components onto vehicles
- Conduct safety inspections, service ability checks and road tests
- Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
- Removal and installation of vehicle interior and exterior trim.
This role is full time, based in Walsall
Essential experience of the Mechanical Vehicle Technician:
- Considerable mechanical knowledge and experience
- Up to date knowledge of vehicle maintenance techniques
- Understanding of and ability to follow circuit diagrams for installation and fault-finding purposes.
- Ability to demonstrate high level of engineering industrial standards
Qualifications for the Mechanical Vehicle Technician:
- Considerable automotive mechanical experience (NVQ level 2 )
- Hold full clean driving licence
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
