The role
As a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will work with key stakeholders, account teams and suppliers to drive operational execution of projects/programmes, bids and other critical business activities.
Day to day, you’ll close involvement with suppliers & stakeholders to identify and implement the most cost effective and technically efficient supply solutions in respect of cost, performance, product and/or service quality and programme.
- Managing sourcing and tendering processes in accordance with agreed project and/or programme deliverables
- Early engagement with stakeholders to review and challenge specifications and develop robust/innovative procurement strategies which outline marketplace, cost levers, value levers.
- Ensuring that all technical and quality requirements are fully satisfied and that all material and service requirements are supplied in accordance with Project programmes.
- Support the development and execution of a Segmented Supplier Relationship Management strategy that; improves supplier performance, develops critical/strategic relationships, attracts innovation, reduces risk and contributes to the growth of the value delivery plan.
This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week based at Warrington and hybrid working arrangements. There is a requirement to travel to various Cavendish Nuclear sites.
Essential experience of the Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist:
- Prior experience managing stakeholders, ideally in a buying or procurement environment.
- Self-motivated, views learning positively and is keen to develop.
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages (namely Excel and Outlook) and ideally has prior experience utilising SAP.
Qualifications for the Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS (may possibly need SC) security clearance for this role.
