The role
As a Logistics Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will make a real difference, ensuring the smooth inbound receipt, storage and delivery of business-critical equipment to our internal and external customers. You will lead and develop a diverse team of Logisticians, guaranteeing the highest safety standards are met, within the warehouse environment and in delivery to the program.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the cost-effective operations of all Warehouse & Logistics functions in line with company and customer requirements. You will also:
- Monitor and action to ensure the safe custody, maintenance, security and accountability for all material and equipment stored.
- Monitor & action all functions within logistics ensuring resources allocated as required.
- Identify and establish best practice across all Warehousing & Logistics functions.
- Target, evaluate and report on key deliverables set by the Logistics Manager.
- Monitor the utilisation and effectiveness of Logisticians to ensure customer expectations and SLA’s are maintained.
This role is full time 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday and will be based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Logistics Supervisor:
- Extensive knowledge of Warehousing & Logistics processes.
- Supervisor/Leadership experience
Qualifications for the Logistics Supervisor:
- NC/SVQ level 2 in Warehousing Operations or equivalent
Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this will include obtaining SC and Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearances).
