As a Metrology Engineer you’ll have a role that is challenging and ever evolving. Working within the manufacturing engineering team and with inspection and quality departments, you will take ownership of our inspection strategy and processes that support the current and future submarine capability within defence.
Day to day you’ll be shaping the way we inspect, plan and ensure we have the right equipment for our manufacturing needs. You will support the implementation of a measurement management system and its associated aspects. Create inspection processes for products and equipment, supporting the roll out and where necessary assisting the inspection process on the shop floor.
You will also need to trend and investigate non-conformances on our core products and processes, supporting the production facility to preserve quality at the best lead time and cost. Assistance in our current and future inspection capability will be crucial for our manufacturing pipeline.
This role is based on-site at our production facility in Ashton, Bristol.
Essential experience
HNC or equivalent within Metrology or an engineering discipline OR minimum 5 years’ experience in an inspection/metrology role alongside:
