We have an exciting opportunity available for a Plant Computing Engineer with experience in Electronics at Hartlepool Power Station.
The Opportunity
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals wishing to pursue a career in high integrity engineering working on systems designed to operate reliably 24/7. The group’s main responsibilities include engineering support of the stations plant computing systems which use a wide range of technologies. This Engineering vacancy will be of interest to those with an instrumentation and/or electronics background.
Join our Plant Computing team who have a wide range of skills, where you’ll report to the Protection and Electrical Group Head to ensure the long-term health and availability of our systems are maintained.
The Plant Computing team includes both hardware and software Engineers and the exact responsibilities will depend upon the skills and aptitudes of the applicant.
Training will be provided to perform the required role and further develop the candidate to perform wider ranging tasks in support of nuclear generation.
Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £71,779 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an individual who possess a robust understanding of electronics or computer engineering principles. As an Engineer, you’ll have close interaction with stakeholders to ensure high availability of the plant computer and support systems, which are essential control, logging or indication systems required for safe operation of a nuclear power plant.

Applicants will be required to obtain CTC level vetting prior to taking up their duties.
