Job Title: Regional Center & Development Center (RC/DC) Safety Manager

Duties: Manage the North America (NAM) Signaling & Alstom Digital Mobility (ADM) Regional Center (RC) and Development Centers (DC), people, processes and performance. Measure total capacity versus workload, and prepare analysis and action plans for staffing. Responsible for consolidated NAM Safety Dashboard including all NAM stakeholders RC and DC on a quarterly basis. Ensure proper deployment of corrective/preventive actions for safety issues, and support REX (Return on Experience). Ensure zero "NO GO" for Safety reasons in Gate Reviews. Improve Quality of Inputs from areas including engineering and V&V etc. for efficient safety demonstrations. Measure process standardization and improvement. Manage and approve QCD commitments for bids/projects and developments. Handle QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) overview and specific action plan when needed. Ensure consolidated view of Safety to NAM Signaling/ADM organization management. Manage the consolidation and balance of workload of safety activities and safety workforce. Deploy safety process, methods, and tools in accordance to central rules, and propose improvements based on REX. Ensure convergence between system/products and system/projects for safety-related topics, including escalation and arbitration if needed. Ensure safety coordination between DCs and RCs. Review safety issues and support root cause identification and mitigation measures. Implement the Safety Management Cycle defined centrally by Signaling/ADM Safety Director.
30% domestic travel and 10% international travel required.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Railway, Mechanical, Industrial) or related field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a RC / DC Safety Manager-related occupation.
