Your future role: 

 

The Alstom Services Engineering is expanding rapidly, and the teams are growing to continue to support Aventra fleets to end of life; making it a great time to join our expanding team and business as part of your career plan. The Train Control Project Engineer is a key role to manage all aspects of TCMS software delivery and is accountable for the technical decisions taken with your project team

 

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Managing Project (or R&D or Sustaining) Engineering activities by delivering Engineering Work Package in compliance with the Engineering QCD commitment.
  • Representing Engineering among project core team and manages interfaces with vehicle project and other Project Engineers of Leading/Participating Units.
  • Representing Alstom Project Engineering:
    • In front of customer to provide global view of design progress, issues, risks. For detailed technical discussions, Project Engineer must delegate to the right person (TSE, Expert…) who’ll provide you with Minutes of Meeting.
    • In front of partners in case of consortium: you as the Project Engineer will ensure that the inputs/outputs and design reviews are in-time, with the right quality level.
  • Providing your management regular reporting and performance analysis (Project Engineer cockpit)
  • Defining and makes applied the Engineering Management Plan.
  • Managing functionally the project engineering core team and their commitment for the project.
  • Providing to workload manager regular updates on project engineering firm workload including forecasted internal and external change orders, based on inputs from management team. Challenges inputs.
  • Escalating to management staffing issues (under-staffing, competences, subcontracting problems, under performance).
  • Your KPI’s will encompass: Engineering Work Package costs at completion. On-Time Design Reviews / Gate Review Go on Time (as a project management core team member)

  • Experience of Project Engineering for Aventra/Crossrail
  • English language
  • Rolling stock functional engineer experiences on several train functions
  • Work package and Team management experiences
  • Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication network.
