Your Role:
●The Services Operations Manager is responsible for leading and developing a positive culture and working environment that drives attitudes and behaviours to support and continuously develop the overall project strategy for improvements to Safety, Quality Cost and Delivery. ●The Manager will utilise, mentor and develop their project team to ensure the key deliverable as defined by the organisation are optimised for the benefit of the shareholders. ●You will be responsible for: the 'day to day' delivery of the Contractual Obligations to the Customer, the Leadership and Direction of the Projects large team(s) and successful delivery of projects including: -East Midlands Rail, Class 222 TSSSA Contractual Scope ●You will work to ensure consistent application of procedures, controls and critical process on depot, providing regular reports (KPI’s) for onsite activities. ●Another responsibility will be to ensure that Customer / Supplier relations, communication and performance are maximised, both internally and externally, whilst ensuring the delivery of risks and opportunities. ●All to be undertaken whilst maintaining Compliance with Quality and Safety Standards.
Your Challenges:
•Provide appropriate Operations Performance Reporting at Project Reviews, Customer(s) Reviews and Governance Meetings (MPR’s, EHS, Critical Project Reviews) utilizing appropriate tools. •Managing the customer(s) interface on a day-to-day basis ensuring delivery to contract requirements and driving customer satisfaction. •Site Management - Responsible for Alstom site and staff management, Quality, Health and Safety processes in order to achieve and maintain a safe and efficient working environment. •The Leadership and Direction of an on-site team and functions including managing individual Performance & Development, Succession Planning (eg ALPS) •Support the P&L of the Project and its associated Budgets including ROP, Headcount, Tooling & Resource.Your Skills & Experience:
•Strong experience of project and operational management incorporating: Best Practice, Total Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, Lean Management, Six Sigma, 8D analysis and ISO 9001 processes, preferably within the Rail Industry. •Proven Track Record in continuous improvement and cost down delivery. •Experience in QHSE site-based requirements. •IOSH Managing Safely. •Strong Project Management skills. •Good communicator both through face-to-face discussions and presentations with Customers, suppliers and external parties to drive a collaborative working relationship. •Excellent people management skills. •Advanced technical knowledge of the Class 222 Fleet, including in service operation, Depot Maintenance activities & Material Quality assurance. •Strong experience of Product Safety related issues and management (root cause, 8D, containments & countermeasures).
