Inventory Team Leader at GXO Logistics

GXO are looking for an Inventory Team Leader to join us at our M&S operation in Milton Keynes. You will support the inventory team manager by overseeing the team and coordinating tasks to ensure all activity is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

 

This is a full time, 12-month fixed term contract role. You will work on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, the hours of work will be 06:00 – 14:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £30,576 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Implement processes and systems to deliver objectives, playing an active part in the site ethos and strategy
  • Maintain stock accuracy and integrity in line with contractual requirements, minimising stock loss, through investigation and resolution of errors
  • Monitor productivity throughout the shift, allocating resource for each work area whilst co-ordinating and prioritising tasks
  • Practice coaching skills to encourage and support your team in their development and training, helping them to perform to the required level
  • Maintain your own personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience as team leader or senior operative within a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a specific focus on stock and inventory, ideally from a food environment
  • You’ll be equipped to motivate your team, taking a key role in creating a positive, productive and rewarding work environment
  • A skilful planner and natural problem solver, you’ll be able to monitor performance against business standards, support resource and costs, enable your team to meet challenging performance targets and communicate effectively across all levels
  • A good organiser with the ability to efficiently manage varied workloads, you’ll use your initiative to analyse and resolve any issues within your department
