Here at GXO Logistics, we’re recruiting for a Transport Planning Administrator to provide exceptional support to our Transport Planning team for our Clicklink contract. You will be responsible for carrying out a varied workload across numerous planning and administration tasks. You'll be the glue that holds us together, ensuring everyone has the information they need and communication flows like a well-oiled machine.

 You will be working Monday – Friday between the hours of 10:00-18:00, with some flexibility required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £24,960.08 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Liaise with customers, depots, and operations teams, effectively communicating updates, resolving issues, and building strong relationships
  • Support the smooth operation of the transport planning team by handling all administrative tasks associated with ad-hoc transport plans, daily network reports, and returns bookings
  • React to all unforeseen events across the shifts in a timely and professional fashion.  Reduce any negative impact these events may have led to by utilising the resources at your disposal
  • Execution of all emails in a timely manner, passing on instructions where necessary and making the appropriate action

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Communication skills, both written and verbally, with an ability to understand the client’s needs and requirements
  • 1-2 years' experience in an administrative or customer service role within a fast-paced environment is highly advantageous
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office package, in particular Excel (looking to further develop, knowledge of power queries, pivot tables and new formula functions such as xlookup, textjoin and torow). Previous experience using Paragon is highly advantageous, however this can be taught
  • Excellent organisation, planning, problem-solving skills and the motivation for cost efficiency
  • Self-motivated with an ability to prioritise own workload effectively
