Here at GXO Logistics we are currently looking for a Senior Yard Operative to join our energetic team at City Plumbing Supplies based in Warrington, on a full time, permanent contract. You will be working on Monday – Friday, covering the day shift, with the working hours of 06:00 – 14:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
-
Controlling workload by appropriately assigning skillsets to areas to maximise efficiencies and ensuring sufficient equipment is available daily to the operational teams

Establishing effective communication between team and other departments

Ensuring the accurate recording of all branch pallet returns and waste transfer notices

Completing safety conversations, MHE observations and raising H&S issues to relevant teams/managers

Promoting clean as you go policy
What you need to succeed at GXO:

Ability to follow safe working instructions

Flexibility to adapt to changing instructions to support the operation, to meet the requirements of the shift and deadlines

Good communication skills
-
Previous experience within a recycling/yard departments preferable, but not essential
