We’re looking for a Warehouse Team Manager (Nights) to join our very busy, Sainsbury’s team at our site in Northampton on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.
You’ll be working any 5 days from 7 on the night shift of 21:00 till 06:00. This is a freezer environment, working in -20 celsius degree chamber.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000.00 per annum plus shift allowance (21:00-22:00: additional £1,83per hour, 22:00-6:00, additional £2,30per hour) and 25 days annual leave. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
- Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
- Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
- Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
- The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
