The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth for DSV's transportation and logistics services. They will work closely with the executive team to identify market opportunities, create sales plans, and manage a team of sales professionals. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share. 

  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. 

  • Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team targets. 

  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of sales objectives with company goals. 

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. 

 

Educational background / Work experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field.  

  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. 

  • a track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth. 

  • Experience managing a team of sales professionals and collaborating with other departments. 

 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies. 

  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends, regulations, and best practices. 

  • Proficiency in sales management tools and software, such as CRM systems. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any) 

  • Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in the transportation and logistics industry. 

  • Experience in managing large-scale sales operations. 

  • Strong leadership and management skills. 

 

Language skills 

  • Fluent in English (oral and written) 

 

Computer Literacy 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and other sales management tools.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $138,500- $208,000/ Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
