To assist in the day-to-day blasting operations at Bardonhill extension (Leicestershire), whilst maintaining the highest safety standards and working with the quarry regulations 1999, this will also include designing blasts, keeping accurate records, attending production meetings, production of activity plans and risk assessments, and maintaining a personal career development plan.
Your mission
You will be responsible for the following:

Blast design, Face profiling, initiation sequence design, charging of blasts, and post-blast specifications.

Keep accurate records

Supervision of the drilling team

Produce/Create activity plans and risk assessments
Who are we looking for?
Necessary:
-
Level 5 Diploma in Shotfiring Supervision
-
Level 5 Certificate in Blast Design
-
Level 3 Diploma in Shotfiring
-
Level 2 Certificate in Face Profiling
-
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
-
Geotechnical training
-
Quarry Regulation awareness

Mineral Sector Safety Passport

Current MPQC Blasting Cards
