The Transpennine Route Upgrade Project (TRU) is a circa £2 billion multi-disciplinary project upgrading the existing railway route between Manchester and Leeds through the Pennines. It is the largest rail and infrastructure project in the north of England.
Working on the TransPennine route Upgrade from offices in Manchester and Huddersfield the purpose of the role is to provide organisational and administrative support to the Civils team on the project.
Your mission
Key Tasks:
Diary and email support for the Civils team as appropriate.
Maintain relevant registers/databases and run reports as required.
Support the Civils and Recruitment team with the recruitment process.
Build effective relationships with the wider TRU people team.
Coordinate travel logistics including trains, flights and accommodation for the Civils team as appropriate.
Coordinate internal and external meetings including room bookings, arranging agendas, preparing papers, managing follow up actions.
Act as a point of contact for the team.
Who are we looking for?
Excellent communication skills;(verbal and written)
Highly organised and ability to deal with change and complexity;
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
Experience of working with stakeholders at various levels and the ability to build strong relationships;
Ability to work efficiently; problem solving as issues arise;
Highly competent levels of IT skills in particular reporting in Excel;
Use of bespoke software is an advantage: Power BI, ProjectWise, Sharepoint;
Experience of working within a team and working independently;
Experience of minute taking and action management.
