BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Project HR Business Partner, on a Fixed term contract until end of July 2024. The position will involve a mixture of working from home and any UK&I office location. BAM Operate a flexible working policy.
Reporting to the Lead Project HR Business Partner, the Project HR Business Partner will play a key role in supporting the delivery and implementation of the People Strategy, working with the wider project team delivering the Harmonisation and Flexible Benefit projects, to achieve alignment across the Division.
Accountabilities
• Work closely with the People Leadership Team & Project Team to successfully drive the project forward.
• Work with the team to support the launch of flexible benefits and a flexible benefits portal.
• Acting as a change ambassador.
• Continuously drive both the business and People strategy, providing both challenge and solutions.
• Support with development of people related policy and process.
• With the People team to cultivate the environment of BAM being a ‘great place to work.’
Key activities
• Assist with a data review and cleanse to prepare for project launch.
• Work with the People Services team and Business Analyst to ensure business as usual processes are set up ready for launch along with associated documentation.
• Along with the team, re-draft of a number of people related policies.
• Create guidance documentation, where no policies are formally in place but rules and guidance are required.
• Assist with aligning processes across the different business segments.
• Work with the communications team and business change to draft and keep updated relevant content for BAM Connect pages, checking that the information is aligned across the Division and factually correct.
• Support the team on business change projects and any associated processes.
• Assist in the launch of a flexible benefits platform across the UK&I Division, with an external provider.
• Participate in other People based project work within the wider UK&I function.
• You will be an experienced HR professional who is inspired by the new UK&I business model. You will have previous experience in operating as an HR Business Partner, delivering and supporting the development of people-based solutions. Ideally you will have previous experience in supporting organisational change and working on business change projects from a People perspective.
• You will have a passion for all people related topics and will have a breadth of experience and exposure to all parts of the employee lifecycle. In your career to date you will have experience of managing change, Employee Relations, including complex ER cases, as well as supporting the development of policies and procedures and HR related projects.
• You will be able to balance the needs of your stakeholders and will have a commercially focused mindset which combines the requirements of the business and people strategy.
• Your excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills mean you develop relationships with ease which enable you to constructively challenge in order to seek continuous improvements that adds value, drives consistency and delivers improved results.
• You will be a competent user of Excel and other business tools.
• You will have committed to your own personal development and will be CIPD qualified or will hold an alternative relevant professional qualification.
