Due to continued business growth we have an exciting new opportunity to join our Bids and Tendering team. This role can be hybrid and you will need to come to an office, two days a week in either Poole, Leicester, Worcester or Glasgow and at other times as required to meet business needs. You’ll be joining a large, friendly and supportive team of professionals involved in the compilation, management and submission of compelling responses to customer tenders, collating detailed information from various departments, presenting to leadership for sign off and managing post tender activities through to customer acceptance and order placement. What will you do?
- You will contribute to the definition and implementation of winning bid strategies.
- Manage the creation of quotations and winning tenders so they meet a high standard of quality and satisfy all formal customer requirements
- Take full ownership of the preparation, review and coordination of compelling tenders and quotations
- Identify any potential issues and risks to a successful bid submission at the earliest opportunity.
- liaison with internal and external parties, partners and subcontractors
- Organisation and chairing of review meetings and the preparation of all review meeting materials
- Production and delivery of presentations internal and to our customers up to board level
- Collation of costs and calculation of pricing for bids
- Contribute to the provision of reports and forecasts
- Accurate management of bid budgets
- Responsible for transferring knowledge from the Tendering team to the Delivery team at handover
Who are you?
- Ideally you wil have prior experience in bids, tenders, contracts and/or project management but we’re also interested to hear from you if you have transferable skills and experience
- You are both numerate and have excellent attention to detail and deliver high quality written work
- You’re highly collaborative and can work cross-functionally with all department
- Experience in process improvement would also be ideal to support ongoing best practice
- You’re comfortable managing and escalating risks and issues when needed
- You have strong communication ability including presenting with confidence, particularly with senior leaders and customers
- You have a proven ability to be a supportive team member and enjoy being an integral business partner
- You’re willing and able to travel both in the UK and internationally at times
