MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide dialysis treatment and support services to patients, including operating dialysis equipment, in line with patient safety and regulatory requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Ensure all equipment are in good working order and maintenance records are monitored to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirement and company standards
Relevant patient records related to physical measurements, treatments, tests and procedures are accurately documented and reported where required to ensure optimal patient treatment and safety
Support the nursing team with the general treatment of dialysis patients
Provide relevant educational services to patients and their families
Support the dialysis team and department with relevant administrative duties to ensure optimal daily operations
Provide support with collecting and quality assessments of water samples, including chemical analysis, bacterial counts and endotoxin assessments
REQUIRED EDUCATION
A relevant Dialysis Technician program from an accredited institution
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years relevant experience post qualification in a related field
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Quality management and governance standards and best practice
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Dialysis equipment testing and general care
- Patient safety and experience principles
