About the role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, this role will be based out of the International Towers on the harbour foreshore of Barangaroo at one of Australia’s most progressive workspaces and one of the world’s most sustainable commercial precincts. The role is offered on a hybrid working pattern.
You will partner with senior stakeholders to develop and drive strategy and strategic plans across GrainCorp’s Grains, Nutrition and Energy and International business areas. You will enjoy using your outstanding strategy toolkit, interpersonal and relationship skills, and outcome focus to not just solve problems on paper, but drive solutions through to implementation with internal teams. You will be accountable for;
- Leading strategic workstreams or standalone projects, including providing strategic project management support to project teams
- Preparation and delivery of “board-ready” presentations and reports to the ELT and Board with very limited supervision
- Developing project plans, including structuring problems and defining the plans of action to solve them
- Develop effective and constructive relationships with senior stakeholders, gaining trust across the business to influence on optimal and practical paths forward that maximise profitability for the company
- Effective and engaging presentations to senior stakeholders across the company
Your experience
Our favoured candidate will come to us with proven success from either a Consulting firm or experience in an inhouse corporate strategy team. Key capabilities we are also looking for are;
- Strategic problem solving skills - ability to independently frame up projects across workstreams
- Exceptional relationship building and management skills
- Ability to confidently communicate and influence the status quo while seeking improvement and excellence
- Project Management - end to end project ownership and management of plans, people and timelines
