About the role
Reporting directly to the Senior Trader, your task is to develop and execute trading strategies with a focus on commodity risk-management as part of the East Coast Australia team whilst managing the execution of an end-to-end integrated supply chain.
About your experience
• Proven experience working in grains industry is vital to this role
• 3+ years of relevant experience with in-depth understanding of all aspects of domestic trade and movement of agricultural commodities, including quality; freight markets; and supply chain management
• Strong customer centricity, evidenced by deep and lasting customer relationships
• Proven track record of profitability and a strong commercial decision maker
• Strong client and supplier contacts across the grains industry
• Commitment to fundamental supply and demand analysis
• Well-developed strategic thinking and implementation/execution skills
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a local and regional team
• An understanding of the risks of international trade and demonstrated ability to access and manage them
