About the Role:
As a Welder Apprentice, you'll join our team of experienced welders and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful welder. You'll work alongside a qualified journeyman welder, learning various welding techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices. This is a hands-on learning experience that will provide you with a strong foundation for a fulfilling career in welding.
Responsibilities:
Assist experienced welders in setting up and preparing welding equipment, materials, and work surfaces.
Perform basic welding tasks under close supervision, using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques (depending on the company's specific needs).
Learn and strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while performing welding tasks.
Clean and maintain welding equipment and tools on a daily basis.
Assist with moving materials and equipment as directed.
Participate in mandatory safety meetings and training sessions.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take direction from experienced welders.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong work ethic, with a commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to learn and follow instructions effectively.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to [weight limit] (adjust based on your company's requirements).
Eagerness to learn and grow in the welding profession.
