About the Role:
As a GT Assembler Apprentice, you'll embark on a rewarding journey to become a skilled professional in our dynamic production environment. You'll work alongside experienced rotor assemblers, learning the intricacies of assembling rotors for [products the rotors are used in - e.g., motors, generators, wind turbines]. This hands-on program combines classroom instruction with practical experience, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in rotor assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced rotor assemblers with various tasks, including component preparation, subassembly, and final rotor assembly.
- Learn and adhere to strict quality control procedures, verifying dimensions, clearances, and overall functionality of rotors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, prioritizing safety protocols at all times.
- Observe and learn proper operation and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment.
- Participate in classroom training sessions to gain knowledge of rotor assembly techniques, blueprint reading, and quality control principles.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to following instructions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Ability to learn and follow instructions effectively.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
