We are now looking for a 

 

Purchaser

 

to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Havant, UK.

 

As Purchaser, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with the monthly Supplier KPI Metrics and reporting.
  • Raise, place, and expedite purchase orders in-line with manufacturing requirements.
  • Supplier liaison - monitor performance through KPIs and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Contribute to procurement department cost down targets.
  • Support on procurement projects as required.
  • Working and supporting with colleagues about procurement process improvement.
  • Arrange and manage requests for classification approval and inspections. 
  • Take the lead on Indirect procurement activities.

 

Accountabilities: 

 

  • Accountable for supporting the operational purchasing tasks in support of the Buyers and Supply Chain Manager.
  • Accountable for updating and maintain supplier NDA records and pricing in SAP as required to support the department.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • Basic negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in purchasing or supply chain, looking to transition into a Buyer role or recent graduate.
  • Proven track record in international environment.
  • Problem Solving and decision making oriented.
  • Fluent written and spoken business English,
  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • Strong personal drive used to take own initiatives and be proactive.
  • Strong IT skills - familiarity with MS packages, and SAP or MRP/ERP system experience.
  • Ideally working towards CIPS qualification
  • Strong Analytics Skills
