We’re looking for a skilled Technical Accounting & Reporting Senior Manager to join our team. You will report to the Director of Accounting, and will be responsible for many aspects of technical and corporate accounting, including preparing accounting memos and analyses to address technical accounting issues arising from business transactions, preparing financial statements, and developing accounting policies and processes as the company scales. As part of a highly impactful team, you will work cross functionally to assess the accounting impacts of potential transactions.
What you’ll be doing
Research and document technical accounting matters for a variety of new, complex or non-standard transactions, including lease accounting (ASC 842), revenue recognition (ASC 606), financing transactions, impairment reviews, and consolidation assessments
Prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions
Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
Prepare annual financial statements to support external audits, including for international subsidiaries
Support the preparation and review of company disclosures within parent company filings
Proactively partner cross functionally with finance business partners, strategic finance, and tax to advise on the accounting treatment of strategic transactions
Find opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process
Build and maintain scalable accounting processes to support growth
Review material contracts and document the accounting impact
Assist with the monthly close process
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
What you must have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license
8 to 10 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally a blend of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
IFRS experience preferred, although not required
Accounting experience with publicly-traded companies is a plus
Ability to research complex accounting matters
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Strong organizational and time management skills, written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Functional experience with financial systems (Oracle/SAP/Hyperion) is a plus
The salary range for this position is $122,400 - $180,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
