Job Purpose
The responsibilities include, developing creative intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces. The ability to design with modularity in mind; of components, documentation, testing and version management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Node.js, code flow and the ability to recommend, and implement ideas to design a Greenfield solution.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Hands on experience with frontend development and management of frontend projects, WebPack and npm library/registry management.
- Ability to work collaboratively or independently, developing applications and services using Agile development methods
- Previous working experience with Node.js for (5+) years with understanding of code flow
- Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
- Build custom UI and back-end services for shopfloor application administration and management
- Code, test and operate node.js based services
- Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix bugs before they become a problem
- Able to design a system of cohesive and aesthetically pleasing UIs
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Technology or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of development experience
- Minimum 3 years experience of Node.js
- Minimum 2 years experience front end design
Language Skills:
- English (fluency in reading, writing and speaking); other language skills helpful
Additional skills:
- Good communication skills, a team player
- GO programming experience and Docker with swarm/kubernetes a plus
- Deep understanding of Linux
- Applicable knowledge of frontend frameworks such as AngularJS, VueJs, and Lit
- Understanding of native features of web browsers beyond frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving aptitude
- Attention to details
- Experience designing application interfaces in manufacturing environments
- Front-end performance optimization
- Understanding back-end technologies and databases is a plus
