POSITION SUMMARY:
Nestlé Purina has a large presence in Oklahoma City with one of our dry pet food factories located just 10 miles outside of downtown. At this location, we have produced Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Beneful® and Purina ONE® brands for over 40 years. Our Production Operators are the feeder group for all production-based operator positions within the various production departments, which include Unloading, Dry Pet Processing and Dry Pet Packing. Team members train during and/or after the training period and will be moved to one of several critical factory positions to operate, including Extruder Operator, Utility, Packing Operator, etc.
- Train on specific production equipment/machinery in a safe and productive manner.
- Provide support to operators in Unloading, Processing and Packing.
- Run unloading, processing, and packing equipment, and serve as backups to operator positions in various departments.
- Troubleshoot and complete preventative maintenance/clean and inspect checklist for equipment
- Effectively work with interdepartmental personnel in order to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma OR GED Equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience operating and troubleshooting machinery/equipment in a manufacturing, production, agricultural, military, or related environment.
