Job Title: Chemistry Section Analyst
Location: Nestle Quality Assurance Centre –Fixed Term Contract, covering up to 12 months parental leave
Shift: Working days Monday-Friday across 37 hours
Salary: £24,375 plus potential bonus and excellent companywide benefits

Position Summary
We’re looking for a Chemistry Analyst to join the Nestle Quality Assurance Centre (NQAC) team in York on a fixed term contract, covering up to 12 months parental leave,

The Chemistry team ensure that consumers have accurate information regarding the nutritional profile of our products, and that our products consistently meet the defined nutritional standards.
A day in the life of a Chemistry Section Analyst
As a Chemistry Section Analyst, you will be responsible for the completion of chemistry / nutritional testing in a safe and compliant manner to provide an accurate, reliable and efficient testing service to NQAC York customers.

What will make you successful?
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Analyst who may have worked within a laboratory testing environment before or a graduate with some experience within a laboratory. Training will be provided.
Other attributes would include:
• Having a relevant science HND / degree which cover chemistry such as Nutritional chemistry science
• Ideally have relevant laboratory experience of test methods and their routine application.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience of traditional food testing methods would be a distinct advantage.
• Ability to be able to trust your own judgement as to when to involve/seek advice from line management on issues that deviate from normal policy.
• A team player.
