Job Title – Packing Line Operator
Business Unit - Nestlé Purina 
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk  
Permanent

Continental shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights then 4 days off – average of 42 hours per week. 

 

Starting Salary £33,705 moving to £36,762 after successful 6 months’ probation plus fantastic benefits

 

Position Summary 

We have opportunities for experienced Line Operators working on a continental shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights then 4 days off.

And this ancient, bustling market town in the heart of the Stour valley is surrounded by countryside of outstanding natural beauty making Sudbury an idea place for animal lovers. Plus, there’s the added advantage of London being a 45 minute train ride away from nearby Colchester.

A day in the life of a Packing Operator… 
Reporting to the Line Performance Manager, your main accountability will be to achieve performance targets by following SOP processes and adherence to standards while operating machines and systems. In addition to this, you will be ensuring that the process runs at its optimum; producing high quality product and coordinating actions where necessary on your line.

 

Other key responsibilities will include:
•    Ability to work as part of a team to delivery high quality products.
•    Ensure high safety and quality standards are adhered to.
•    Approach work with a continuous improvement mind-set.
•    Support with factory activities in order to achieve KPIs.
 
The role will also require adaptability and flexibility as you may be required to work in different areas of the department and plant. 

 

What will make you successful 
The successful candidates will have ideally worked in a Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) environment before and be thorough, professional and care about the safety of themselves and others.

 

You will need to demonstrate you care about delivering high quality products at all times and have a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Principles. You will be able to demonstrate ownership, high levels of results focus and strong communication skills.
 We are looking for people who enjoy solving problems and exploring how things work, whilst continually thinking of new ideas to improve safety, quality and performance to meet consumer needs.
