Position Summary
We have a brilliant opportunity for a talented individual to join the Logistics team as a Logistics Contract Manager. This role includes a variety of focusses to support the distribution of our Nestle products, including both Warehouse Contract Management as well as an element of cross-functional Supply Chain Project Management.

A day in the life of a Logistics Contract Manager
Your main responsibility will be to ensure outstanding delivery of Third-Party Warehousing services to support the delivery of Nestle products to our Customers and Export markets.
Key responsibilities include:-
• Set adequate target values for Service and Cost and effectively monitor the 3PL providers performance by:
o Putting in place a structured continuous improvement approach based on the application of Tools, Methods (DMAIC) and the implementation of Best Practices
o Tracking productivity improvements with the 3PL
o Implementing, monitoring and managing Safety, Health & Environment, Quality and CARE regulations and Best Practices; NCE Goal alignment key meetings
o Driving improvement opportunities for Nestle’s benefit as part of the 3PL relationship
• Management of the budget for 3rd Party Logistics services
• Ensure communication and collaboration with Customers and other functional departments (e.g. Customer Solutions, Transport, DCs, Factories) to deliver world class Customer Service levels
• Influence Distribution Management, Demand & Supply Planning and Customer Solutions by regularly providing feedback to continuously improve service and cost, ensure freshness and avoid bad goods
• Working alongside Procurement to tender, negotiate and award contracts for a range of Logistics Services
What will make you successful?
You’ll come from a Logistics or Supply Chain background and can effectively influence people at all levels both internally and externally. Your self-motivation and drive will help you succeed when solving problems in what can often be a complex and demanding environment. This coupled with your proactive nature and the drive for continuous improvement will be key.
In this role you will act as a leader within the function and support the development of others around you.
As part of the role, you will also lead cross-functional projects within the Logistics and wider Supply Chain function.
You will therefore have:
• Evidence of an understanding of Supply Chain processes within an FMCG business, ideally hands-on experience in a Logistics role
• Experience of Budgetary management / cost control
• A proven track record in leading cross functional Projects and managing varied stakeholders
• Evidence of work on Continuous Improvement Projects, using Data streams from various Data sources
