Position Summary

 

The Nespresso Team are recruiting for a talented Marketplace Commercial Manager who will support Nespresso’s business growth by leading the marketplace channel in Coffee Machine sales strategy, connecting customers to Nespresso direct channels, and driving brand awareness to reach prospect buyers.

A day in the life of a Marketplace Commercial Manager…

 

As a Marketplace Commercial Manager, you will be part of the Net Acquisition Team looking at driving machine sales, new Nespresso members and opportunities to drive lifetime value.

  • You will implement and develop the sales strategy for marketplace accounts in B2C ensuring key stakeholders are fully aligned.
  • You will proactively lookout for new opportunities and assess their potential together with the Head of Acquisition Manager and internal cross-functional teams.
  • You will work closely with the eRetail performance manager to ensure the media plans are aligned to our commercial objectives.
  • Lead annual business plans with different key accounts by aligning with our 4 machine partners on a shared ambition. 
  • You’ll utilise web analytics platforms such as Stackline market analysis dashboard to analyse performance and develop tactical and strategic plans to drive category and market share growth.
  • Along with the E-retail performance manager you will align on a media plan to help support our commercial objectives whilst remaining efficient with our media spend.
  • Execute and improve machine launches as well as promotional mechanics to drive conversion.
  • Execute the marketplace sales strategy in collaboration with and through the internal commercial structure.
  • Establish a visibility strategy ensuring the commitment to Nespresso presence in all concerned digital channels.
  • You will align and liaise with wider stakeholders across other markets & HQ to share best practices and learnings, support developments of other markets and scale proven solutions.

 

What will make you successful?

The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in eCommerce working for a major Pure Player and/or Marketplace management demonstrating examples of winning with at least one of the top tier marketplace channels such as Amazon, eBay, Tmall, Lazada and JD.COM. They will have a commercial and innovative mindset as well as strong project management skills. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Experience within Retail, FMGC, CPG or D2C and working for or supporting AMZ.
  • Experience working in AMZ Vendor Central.
  • Understanding of key digital media metrics & best practices.
  • The ability to lead a cross-functional team, develop and present a strategic vision to different internal stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting "other marketplace channel" business (PLUS).       
  • Business management experience with strategic planning and execution.
  • The ability to build and develop strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • The ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to work with numbers & experience of web analytics: generate reports and statistical data, interpret that data and in turn identify insights, problems, opportunities, trends and develop solutions and recommendations.
  • A passion for e-business and its ever-changing landscape & requirements.
  • Be naturally eager to learn and continually develop your own knowledge of eCommerce.
