POSITION: Manufacturing Excellence Intern (4 month contract)
DIVISION OPERATIONS
LOCATION London Ice Cream Factory
REPORTS TO Manufacturing Excellence Manager
This position is primarily responsible to support continuous improvement. The successful candidate will support the factory problem-solving system, provide problem solving coaching, and lead improvement projects through data analysis and execution.
Major Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Bottleneck Study for all the lines. This includes:
- Process Flow Mapping
- Get the maximum and design rate/capacity for each equipment that is available in the library information. Read all the technical information for each equipment. Communicate with suppliers and engineering team.
- Compare the design rate against the actual speed
- Define the materials and no. of crew for each equipment/line – (this also include actual vs std verification)
- Support continuous improvement by leading improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Science or Math
- Self-starter / ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including some training experience.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
