Job Descrption

OVERVIEW
The Finishing Operator, operates, with aid of controls, the complete refined sugar distribution system, including filling and discharge of unscreened sugar bins, the bin supply system from the screens, the bin reclaim systems, discharge brilliant sugar elevator, dry sugar conveyor, rotexes, rotoclones, etc.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives, labels, and transports samples as directed. Washes empty containers.
- Observes, sets, and adjusts control instruments on a computer screen and inspects operations to ensure controls and equipment are operating properly.

- Maintains written records as required, including location and screen operations in each rotex and date of change, bin levels, and conveyor speeds.
- Removes covers on screening equipment, inspects, replaces, or changes screens as required. Removes and replaces worn rubber sleeves. .
- Follow necessary procedures in starting up and shutting down.
- Washes, cleans, and descales equipment and work area assigned.
- Performs all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.

WORK EXPERIENCES
- At least 1 year experience working on high speed industrial packaging equipment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED is required
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)
- Ability to learn different grades of sugar
- Perform industrial labor tasks such as lifting (up to 50lbs.) and handling drums (up to 55lbs.) and other bulk units.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, maintain written records.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, including overtime, weekends and holidays as required
HOURLY RATE
- Starting Rate: $27.60
- Paid vacation and sick time after ninety day probation period.
