We’re looking for a motivated Job Coach who enjoys delivering practical hands-on training to people with learning disabilities, to become part of a friendly and supportive team. Our Learning Disability Training Team trains people with learning disabilities for work. We work in a person-centred way and help our service users to identify their skills, aspirations and support needs. We create a positive and fun working environment whilst maintaining very high levels of health and safety and professional standards.
You'lll work with a group of people to develop skills for work, teamwork and communication skills. You'll identify training and development opportunities through practical work activities which are positive, valued and varied for our customers. This role is varied and there could be opportunities to work in our recycling, packing, craft, woodwork and gardening areas to deliver training to small groups of people with learning disabilities whilst coordinating a range of activities.
Our ideal candidate must be to work as part of a team, but also work on your own initiative. You must have a positive attitude to working with people with disabilities and most importantly you must be able to communicate respectfully to our customers. However, we aren’t always looking for someone who ticks every single box we’re looking for someone who can provide a first class customer service, driven by our overarching aim to empower lives and improve communities
