The Global Key Account Manager position will hold significant responsibility to proactively manage the organization’s key global customer accounts.
Global Account Maintenance and Development: The Global Key Account Manager will contribute to the company’s efforts to maintain existing business, ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and develop new business opportunities with multinational pharmaceutical customers. The Global Key Account Manager will focus on a global account(s), having the lead commercial responsibility for all global customer sites and relationships.
Industry / Product Knowledge and Understanding: The Global Key Account Manager must have, and continue to develop, a strong understanding of the customer base, considerable awareness of the market, good knowledge and understanding of the complex cycle of injectable drug and device development and thorough understanding of the regulatory environment (FDA/EMA) in which the pharmaceutical industry operates. You will be required to become an expert on Datwyler’s product offerings – strong technical skills and manufacturing / supply chain knowledge are preferred.
Strategic Account Planning: The position’s responsibilities will include strategic account planning, deriving the goals and objectives for the account from the global Healthcare divisional strategy and KPI’s. The Global Account Manager will be responsible for defining and executing this strategy, together with an internal team of experts, spanning various departments. You will be skilled in developing relationships with those in these supporting departments in order to make progress achieving your strategy.
Internal and External Collaboration: The position requires strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and work collaboratively with internal and external counterparts across different cultures. While you will take the lead in orchestrating most customer-related activities, you will be required to garner the support of subject matter experts and colleagues to get the job done.
You are a professional residing in the United States with a Bachelor’s degree in either engineering, science or business with a minimum of 10 years of experience in business-to-business sales and international key account management. You are willing to travel domestically and overseas at least 20% of the time and are motivated to achieve results. You also have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to learn and flawlessly operate Datwyler’s CRM and ERP systems.
