We are currently recruiting for Senior Category Manager position to lead our relationship with a leading retailer, based in Rhode Island. As a Senior Category Manager, you will manage and develop the category in all retail channels based on Company strategic goals and deep understanding of Shopper behavior and market trends helping to achieve Company sales, distribution and share targets.
Location: Minneapolis, MN and willing to consider Remote.
A Day in the Life of a Senior Category Manager:
This role will have responsibility for partnering with the retailer & Hasbro sales teams to create category growth and drive Hasbro revenues and share of market, main objectives are:
• To identify Company growth potential via Category Management process, choose and implement appropriate growth strategy.
• To manage and develop the category in all retail channels (B&M and online) based on Company strategic goals and deep understanding of Shopper behavior and market trends helping to achieve Company sales, distribution and share targets.
• To build and develop partner relations through understanding of Customer Strategy and providing win-win-win solutions (Shopper-Customer-Hasbro), establish Hasbro toy expert and valuable supplier.
• To provide thorough understanding of shopper attitudes, needs and behavior in specific product categories and communicate key learning across Sales and Marketing, transform Shopper knowledge into actionable recommendations to drive in-store excellence.
• To maximize Company sales through efficient assortment and shelf layout recommendations, based on understanding of retailer shopper specifics.
What You'll Bring:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Category Insights Management experience
• Expertise and working knowledge in Trade Marketing, Shopper Insights and Analytics / Business Intelligence is Required.
• Experience with NPD/GFK/Kantar/ACNielsen/Numerator/JDA BlueYonder
• High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Space Planning systems, portfolio optimization tools).
• Individual contributor and self-starter, able to balance the customer agenda with internal requirements.
• Business partnership skills, able to collaborate, influence and work as part of a matrix organization.
• Strategic thinking and vision.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data from different sources, turning complex data into simple stories.
• Project & program management.
• Category and Shopper insights generation background (preferred).
