Position Purpose:
Support the development and execution of business plans with their relevant customer/s that profitably grow the Hasbro business, deliver financial targets and be a communication link between the respective customer buying teams.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
3+ years experience in sales of Consumer Goods or 3+ years experience in FMCG Retail or
Mass Merchant at a Category Analyst, Merchandise Assistant or Planner level
Experience in Field Sales, Category Management or Marketing would be highly regarded.
Computer Literacy, including; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel as well as SAP (or AS400)
Negotiation skills/presentation skills – strong aptitude for development into account
management

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
CUSTOMER SPECIFIC
Ensure that the customer has the right stock, in the right place, at the right time, through the quantification, ordering and follow up of new lines, both advertised and seasonal merchandise from local and overseas sources.
Assist the Buyer/Merchandise Team with planning as well as make recommendations of quantities for replenishment, advertising and seasonal orders (where applicable) to maximize sales to in stock position.
Liaise with relevant supply chain teams to ensure in full and on time delivery of all orders.
Work with customer planning teams to provide and maintain forecasts by product to Supplier Supply Chain and demand planning teams.
Range & Category Development
Review and analyse keycode sales and inventory performance to obtain financial KPI’s, in conjunction with the Buyer and BAM.
Manage each product’s lifecycle to make strategic tactical investment/divestment decisions, in conjunction with the Buyer & BAM.
Conduct monthly forecast review, in conjunction with the Buyer & Planner.
Monitor market place environment with a view to maintaining market competitiveness in line with pricing policy.
Visit customer and competition stores (minimum fortnightly).
Input to monthly forecast review in conjunction with the BAM, Buyer & Planner. Promotional Planning
Work with customer buyer and BAM to develop promotional plan. Develop plans around customer and Hasbro Marketing plans, linking where possible.
Administer samples and electronic images for customer catalogue program.
Communicate promotional program to relevant parties
Ensure timely ordering and delivery of orders for promotions as per customer timelines. Layouts
Work with the BAM & Hasbro POG resource in the development of plan-o-grams as directed &/or for development purposes
Liaise with VMLC (Visual Merchandise Layout Coordinator) to ensure implementation & visibility for Hasbro of any new and existing Planograms Communication
Improve communication between Buying Teams and Hasbro personnel as part of your role.
Encourage direct communication between various support functions, i.e. Supplier Supply Chain, Supplier Marketing etc. Product Management
Complete & submit new product registration forms as required.
Maintain and update product information as required.
Organise and follow up merchandise samples for buying teams via product managers.
Prepare product submissions in conjunction in line with Range Review calendar with BAM.
HASBRO SPECIFIC
Financials
Assist in the delivery of Hasbro’s financial targets (sales and profitability) to the budgeted phasing for the account.
Assist the BAM to deliver the budgeted Core Brand financials.
Business Planning
Participate in the formal quarterly business review process, as well as the monthly meeting cycle with retailers
Assist in preparation of financials and documentation requirements for meetings
Take detailed minutes and actions of all minutes and submit final versions of these within 5 working days of the meeting date
Category Management
Assist in the execution of the Hasbro marketing plan within the customer, in a timely manner.
Assist in the implementation of key, in-store drivers (range, space, promotion and display).
Work with the Store Planning Department and the Hasbro Marketing Department to implement and get approvals on planograms, end caps, display stands and feature areas (special events) as negotiated by the BAM and Buyers.
Work with customer Advertising and the Hasbro Marketing Department to review the catalogue layouts and content before going to print.
Prepare product submission forms (domestic only) & FOB sheets.
Maintain accurate range sheets for use by the Field Sales team.
Prepare monthly in store priorities for the Field Sales team.
Product Management
Complete & submit new product registration forms as required.
Maintain and update product information as required.
Organise and follow up merchandise samples for buying teams via product managers.
Prepare product submissions in conjunction with Range Review calendar with BAM.
Forecasting and Inventory Management
Using the BAM forecast, work with the Buying team on the flow of stock (taking into consideration the agreed business plan and Hasbro’s financial goals).
Ensure inventory will be available for upcoming events.
Ensure stock is forecasted (via BAM) for replenishment and levels in inventory reserves will cover the upcoming requirements. Communicate any issues to Hasbro and customer.
Monitor our supply rate for all orders placed.
Look at any standout issues and discuss possible action plans with BAM or Buyers (clearance or increase weights).
Analyse TV advertised lines, catalogue and tactical events to ensure that future stock weights are adjusted to suit (up or down) and that stores are replenished quickly to minimize lost sales.
Work with Sales, Order Admin and customer Replenishment Department to rectify any EDI order issues.
