Perform varied cost accounting activities under minimal supervision to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, reserve analysis, forecasting and general ledger activity surrounding core deposit accounting. Additionally, this position performs and/or assists with statistical inventory counts, internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation. This position will report to the Cost Accounting Supervisor.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Prepare Sales-per-day reports in an accurate and timely manner
Perform daily margin review and analysis
Perform daily sales batch review analysis and posting
Perform monthly reconciliations, reserve analysis and forecasts for dealer incentives and other sales programs
Communicate across business departments to ensure accurate recording of liabilities related to attainment and payment of dealer incentives
Prepare monthly journal entries and analyze key accounts through the reconciliation process
Prepare monthly financial reporting schedules
Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits
Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in Infinium, Excel, Access and SQL
Perform SOX testing as assigned
Support internal and external audit requests
Other duties and accounting functions as assigned
Qualifications
BS / BA in Accounting or Finance
Master's Degree and/or CPA preferred, but not required
2 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility
Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
Understanding of US GAAP
Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally

Salary Range:
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $65,500 - $89,760 annually. This position is eligible for a holiday gift and may offer relocation assistance benefits. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
