Requisition Summary
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing testers and software programs to support the testing and validation of electrical and electronic truck components.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Develops computer-based software to take electrical/electronic measurements and digital readings.
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts projects of moderate scope with minimal supervision.
- Analyzes project requests, discusses project requirements with requestors, and formulates preliminary project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Interprets software function requirements to develop functional test steps.
- Executes software tests and records results.
- Determines root cause when defects are found.
- Creates automated tests, when possible, to maximize test efficiency
- Writes reports, as appropriate, incorporating results, conclusions, and recommendations
- Develops and improves test methodologies
- Establishes and maintains cooperative and productive work relations and communication with internal and division departments
- Travel up to 15%, 4 - 5 times per year domestic and international. Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain one in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN) operation, especially J1939
- Knowledge and interest in robotics
- Familiarity with Communications Protocols used in industry such as RS232, RS485 and CAN
- Familiarity with Session Layer Protocols such as OBD2 and J1939
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL
Education
- BS in Computer Science preferred, or AA with 3+ years’ experience.
