This position is responsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing testers and software programs to support the testing and validation of electrical and electronic truck components.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
Develops computer-based software to take electrical/electronic measurements and digital readings.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts projects of moderate scope with minimal supervision.
Analyzes project requests, discusses project requirements with requestors, and formulates preliminary project plans, budgets, and schedules.
Interprets software function requirements to develop functional test steps.
Executes software tests and records results.
Determines root cause when defects are found.
Creates automated tests, when possible, to maximize test efficiency
Writes reports, as appropriate, incorporating results, conclusions, and recommendations
Develops and improves test methodologies
Establishes and maintains cooperative and productive work relations and communication with internal and division departments
Travel up to 15%, 4 - 5 times per year domestic and international. Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN) operation, especially J1939
Knowledge and interest in robotics
Familiarity with Communications Protocols used in industry such as RS232, RS485 and CAN
Familiarity with Session Layer Protocols such as OBD2 and J1939
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL
Education
BS in Computer Science preferred, or AA with 3+ years’ experience.
